Collecting Vintage Pyrex

Vintage pyrex collection
When I shared a picture I liked of pink pyrex on Pinterest there seemed to be a lot of interest in the subject. I decided I would showcase my own vintage pink and aqua pyrex collection which was greatly enhanced by a trip to the Brimfield Antique Show this past fall. Most of these are from the late 50's to the very early sixties. I really like so much of the 50's style.

  4. Wow. I love this Pyrex pattern. I have a set of the aqua bowls with the pouring spouts. I got them from my mother. While you have yours on display, I use mine almost everyday. Should I not be using these?

    1. I do display mine but I also use them, especially for special occasions when I colour coordinate my table. I don't use them daily because it is not great to wash them in the dishwasher. Eventually the surface will lose its shine.

  5. My 2 favorite colors of Pyrex. I adore the pink Gooseberry. Great collection.

  7. I am in love with your collection, just beautiful. I particularly admire those blue canisters in the top left. Do you happen to know who made them or how I might go about finding a set? They are gooorgeous.

    1. Thanks for the nice comment. The canisters are from the 50's and are called decoware. The name is written on the bottom. I also have a cake carrier in the same pattern. I see them occasionally on ebay or on etsy. I am sure if you google decoware you will find them.

  8. Hi. Fantastic collection! I was curious, in the pink pyrex collection, on the top shelf there is a small pink jar in the corner. I was wondering what came in it. I bought one at a garage sale, except it's green. :)

    1. I found the pink jar at a thrift store. I think some like this came with honey in them in the late 50's early 60's. There are a lot of things these jars would be useful for. Lucky you for finding one. I really like the shape.
